Can anyone be treated with Electrolysis?

No. We do not recommend treatments for clients using certain medications, who are pregnant, who are fitted with a pacemaker, or who are pre-teens.

Will all of my unwanted hair be removed at one time?

Most likely your problem area will require a series of treatments. The number and length of treatments will depend upon the amount of growth, area to be treated, and coarseness of the hair.

Should I be concerned about after effects?

You will most likely experience some redness or slight swelling of the treatment area. It will quickly disappear with use of an after-treatment topical that we will recommend.

Are treatments expensive?

When you compare the cost with other beauty treatments, Electrolysis is reasonable priced. Many people spend thousands of dollars in a lifetime on temporary of dollars in a lifetime on temporary hair removal. Why not have your unwanted hair removed forever?

Why can’t I use a depilatory for my unwanted hair?

You can, but it is only temporary as with waxing, tweezing, laser, or shaving, etc. Depending upon the temporary method, the hair might be back in days, weeks, or months, but it will be back. Some methods like tweezing and waxing do more harm than good by actually stimulating hair growth.

How do I cope with hair growth between treatments?

We suggest scissors-cutting of unwanted hair between treatments. This will leave enough hair for your Electrologist to treat and remove. Please, no waxing, depilatories, or laser.

Why does some hair reappear after treatment?

Hair grows in cycles, and what you might be noticing is hair that has begun to grow but has not been treated yet. I will also explain the breaking-down process during your consultation.

Why do I have unwanted hair?

Some unwanted hair growth can be attributed to your heredity or a glandular disturbance. Other factors such as medications, operations, or illness can also contribute to hair growth. However, most hair that we treat is not due to an abnormal condition.

Is Electrolysis Permanent?

Definitely yes! Electrolysis remains the only proven method of permanent hair removal. Other methods will advertise as permanent, long-lasting, or permanent reduction, but only Electrolysis provides permanent hair removal.

Are the treatments painful?

The insertion of the probe will be painless. When the pulse of energy is emitted, slight discomfort will be felt. Many clients relate it to the feeling of plucking a hair.

Are there needles involved in treatment?

No. What we use is a fine, solid, sterile disposable probe. It has a highly polished rounded tip, which will enter the hair follicle without piercing.

Is Electrolysis new technology?

No. Electrolysis has been around since 1867 as an effective hair-removal method. What is new is our equipment and our implements, all of which have greatly improved, now providing more exact treatments.

Is Electrolysis safe?

Absolutely! Electrolysis is a proven safe method of hair removal. We also use sterile disposable probes and sterile forceps, and our clinic follows strict health-and-safety standards.

How does Electrolysis work?

Basically, we insert a fine probe beside the hair and to the base of the hair. Then a short pulse of energy is emitted to stop the nourishment to the hair. You will learn much more during your free consultation.
